About the Stories
I love the immersive depth and worldbuilding from fantasy writers like J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Brandon Sanderson, and Michael J. Sullivan. I’ve been captivated by the stories of whimsical adventure experienced in the “Redwall” series by Brian Jacques, the careful placement of words by Patrick Rothfuss, and the combination battle royale, time travel, and character-centered storytelling of the video game Chrono Trigger. All of these have had an impact on my own writing style and the types of stories I like to tell. Out of this has blossomed the “Heroes of Time” series.
And, within this overall series, the story of Captain Zale “the Gale” Murdoch is very dear to me. Many things about this character—his mannerisms, appearance, and sayings—are inspired by a bygone friend, colleague, and family member. So unique and interesting was this person that I approached him with the idea of basing a character off him—something I don’t often seek to do with characters—and together we brainstormed what became this highly specialized seafaring merchant, Zale, and his feisty red panda companion, Boomer. He passed away just months later of a rare lung condition, but I’m confident he would have loved his fantasy alter-ego and these stories’ glowing reception from both reviewers and fans.

About the Author
Southern Indiana native, Wayne Kramer, developed his passion for writing during his school years. His first literary success came after 25 years of aspiring to publish, with the launch of "Heroes of Time Legends: Murdoch’s Choice." This book marked the beginning of the "Heroes of Time" series, an epic project that reflects Wayne's love for classic fantasy and time travel.
Balancing his career and creative pursuits, Wayne graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Business Science degree in 2005. He contributed to his family's medical imaging equipment business before establishing his own, W7 Global. The company, catering to a global clientele, has enabled Wayne to visit nearly 40 countries and about 25 states in the US, with Hobbiton in New Zealand holding a special place in his heart.
At home, Wayne cherishes the tranquility of the countryside, and along with his wife, Kaly, and their five daughters, he tends to a small garden, a handful of chickens, and an overweight cat.
Wayne feels truly blessed by God to pursue his dream of writing and publishing stories. The world of Eliorin was inspired by Wayne’s love of stories of classic fantasy and time travel, and he is incredibly excited to share this rich world with you.
